A cup of tea. A little saffron. A few words that stayed with me.
Let me take you back ↓
“It makes you happy.
Look how much you’re smiling.”
When I was a kid, my Persian mom would make me tea and add saffron to it. I’d ask her why.
“It makes you happy,” she’d say. “Look how much you’re smiling.”
Of all the things that could have stayed with me, it was that: my mom, a cup of tea, and her pointing out my smile. Something so small, but so full of care.
Years later, when I started thinking about Are You Happy?, I kept coming back to her. To that familiar ingredient. To the idea of making a little room in the day to care for yourself the way someone who loves you would.
That memory is why this brand exists. And it’s why saffron is at the center of it.
With love,
Kayvon, founder of Are You Happy?
Saffron already had a place in my life. Building a product around it meant getting specific: which extract, how much, and what we could honestly say about it.
We chose affron®, a standardized saffron extract. Our film centers on that one active ingredient, with 28 mg in a single daily serving.
My mom’s words are part of our family story. The ingredient deserves a conversation of its own. On our research page, you can explore the published studies, what they found and their limits.

The smiley is a nod to the words my mom said over that cup of tea. It carries the part of the story I wanted to keep close.
Today, the ritual fits in a sachet. Open it, place the film on your tongue, and let it dissolve. A little saffron, in a form you can make part of your own day.
